Fuck Yeah, Bad RPer Polar Bear!
We've all been there – cringing over fellow roleplayers' terrible grammar and language use, and the general failtasticness of their behavior and characters. This is why we decided to create Bad RPer Polar Bear, to act as sort of a support group for all of our ranting needs.

Feel free to rant in the form of a meme, or submit a story about your experiences.

Oh boy, this rper made me seriously mad. [long story warning!]
So I had a vampire character who was basically a vampire version of a canon character from a series I liked. He was a very old, very beloved character of mine. He was also borderline psychopathic. So, long story short, he was very violent, very unpredictable, showed very little emotion, and had a very hard time trusting people. He also had a tendency to bite and kill people with no remorse.
A few months after I made the account, a werewolf version of a canon character my base canon was close to. They initially started out fighting, then became rather close. After a while, the wolf (let’s call him M) asked my character (let’s call him E) out.
A little background. E had been crushing on another werewolf version of the same character by a different rper (let’s call him A). E eventually confessed his feelings, albeit in a rather roundabout way, and was totally shot down by A, who told him he just wanted them to be friends. E was crushed and vowed to never crush again, basically.
Anyway, so M asked E out and E basically had a freakout because he didn’t know what to do. After a while, though, he accepted and they started dating. Fastforward a few months real-time and they’re very close, very much in love, and quite a cute couple. M then comes to me after a few days and posts a rather shady starter, with his character acting rather out-of-character (being shy and quiet instead of loud and boisterous). I cautiously respond and lo and behold, M asks E to marry him. E enthusiastically accepts.
The next day, M disappeared off the face of the planet. They wouldn’t respond to any starters posted on their page, they wouldn’t respond to texts, nothing. This continued for two months. So I reacted accordingly. E was very anxious after the first couple days of him missing. After two weeks, I gave up on waiting and had him call off the engagement and get rid of the ring. A then returned from inactivity after changing the gender of their character (she wanted more female characters and she loved A too much to trash him for being male, so she just changed his gender) and posted a starter for E. They fought for a little bit because of A’s disappearance, A apologized, they made up, and shortly after, a relationship blossomed between them. A’s mun and I fell in love with the pairing, and they quickly became our favorite ship.
Shortly after this, M returns.
They immediately post on my page, their character acting depressed and like E had betrayed them for moving on despite thinking he was dead and gone since, you know, he’d been absent for two months. He made up some sob story about being kidnapped by a council of werewolves because of having relations with a vampire and having to dramatically escape, blah blah blah. E had none of it and told him very bluntly why he had called off the engagement. Shortly after my reply, M stopped replying. They later posted several sob-story starters with their character being depressed and wanting to die because their only reason for life had abandoned them.
Please.
E and A are still in a very happy relationship almost a year later. :] M, meanwhile, has again vanished from the face of the Earth, leaving behind yet another character they’d gotten in a relationship with.

I hate it when people dissappear out of the blue and expect things to be exactly the same when they come back after...
